In Memoriam

We pay tribute to Achim Burmeister OAM, a dear friend and dedicated supporter of our choir. Achim's passion for music was evident in his attendance at countless performances, where he showed genuine appreciation for the choir's talent. His unwavering commitment and advocacy played a vital role in our success.

Achim's contributions extended beyond attendance; he generously supported us financially and volunteered his time as a Board Member. Notably, his work through Treff WA Magazine allowed him to promote our choir and the arts community to the West Australian-German community, furthering our reach and impact in a way that was critical to our development. We are grateful for his tireless efforts in spreading the beauty of choral music to a wider audience.

In addition to Achim's support, we acknowledge his wife Christine, who has been a dedicated supporter of Perth Symphonic Chorus as well. Together, they have shown unwavering dedication to our choir and the arts community, creating a lasting impact that we deeply appreciate.

Our annual performance of Handel’s Messiah at Perth Concert Hall this December will be dedicated to Achim. As we continue to strive for excellence, we carry Achim's spirit of passion, generosity, and unwavering support with us.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Achim's family, especially his wife Christine, and friends during this difficult time.
