VERDI REQUIEM 2025

New chorister form

On Saturday 6 September 2025, Perth Symphonic Chorus will perform Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at the iconic Winthrop Hall. The Chorus has a proud history of presenting large choral works to great acclaim. In 2024, we performed Bach’s St Matthew Passion featuring Teddy Tahu Rhodes, and other world-calss soloists. This performance of the Verdi Requiem promises to be an unforgettable experience for all involved, including Perth’s best orchestral musicians and Australia’s best operatic soloists.

With a large orchestra and big singing from the Romantic period, the Verdi Requiem calls for larger forces.

Perth Symphonic Chorus rehearses on Thursday evenings, 7-9:30pm in Floreat. Verdi rehearsals are already underway and will continue through May - June - July - August.

We would love to hear from experienced tenors and basses who can help us bring this work to life.

For successful applicants, there will be no fees to sing in the Verdi Requiem, a score will be provided to you for the duration of rehearsals and the performance.
